COVID-19 Antibody Test

CareCentral Urgent Care is now offering a COVID-19 antibody test.

Have you been exposed to coronavirus? Find out with an Antibody Test.

The SARS-CoV-2 IgG/IgM Antibody Test checks for presence of antibodies to coronavirus in the blood. It can be used to detect a past infection. IgM and IgG are immunoglobulins produced by the body’s immune system to provide protection against COVID-19. The level of IgM antibody begins to rise 1 week after the initial infection, while the rise in IgG usually appears 14 days after infection and can last for 6 months or even several years.

Through this COVID-19 Antibody Test, we are able to determine if a patient was recently affected by the coronavirus, even if the virus is no longer present. We can also screen carriers who are asymptomatic.

Who can get tested?

  • Patients MUST be fever, respiratory, and GI symptom free for at least 3 days prior to getting the lab test done.
  • Patients who have previously tested positive for the virus must wait at LEAST 2 weeks from their initial test date.
