General Information & Visits

Do I need an appointment to be seen?

No, you never need an appointment. We accept walk-in patients at all of our locations. However, if you prefer to plan ahead and save time at checkin, you can use our convenient Online Check-In feature to save your spot in line before you leave home.

How long is the wait time?

Wait times vary depending on the number of patients at the clinic and the severity of their conditions. However, visiting CareCentral Urgent Care is almost always significantly faster than a trip to the Emergency Room. We work hard to see every patient as quickly as possible.

What are your hours?

Illnesses and injuries don’t always happen during the workday. We are open 7 days a week with extended evening and weekend hours to ensure you can get care when you need it. Please check our specific location pages for the most up-to-date operating hours.

Services & Medical Care

What is the difference between Urgent Care and the Emergency Room (ER)?

Urgent care is designed for non-life-threatening conditions. We treat illnesses and injuries that need immediate attention but are not severe enough to require a hospital visit.

  • Go to Urgent Care for: Flu, strep throat, sprains, minor fractures, cuts needing stitches, ear infections, and rashes.
  • Go to the ER for: Chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe head injuries, uncontrollable bleeding, or signs of stroke.
Is urgent care cheaper than the ER?

In most cases, yes. Urgent care visits typically have much lower co-pays and overall costs compared to emergency room visits. By choosing CareCentral for non-life-threatening issues, you save both time and money.

Do you treat children?

Yes. We provide compassionate pediatric urgent care for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. Whether it is a fever, an ear infection, or a sports injury, our team is experienced in helping kids feel comfortable and cared for.

Do you have X-rays and labs on-site?

Yes. We have digital X-ray capabilities and a fully equipped clinical lab at our centers. This allows us to diagnose broken bones, pneumonia, strep throat, flu, UTIs, and more during a single visit, saving you a trip to an outside facility.

Can I get a physical exam here?
Do you offer stitches?

Yes. We treat cuts, scrapes, and lacerations that require stitches (sutures) or staples. If you have a deep cut, it is best to come in as soon as possible to reduce the risk of infection and ensure proper healing.

Can you treat broken bones?

We can diagnose broken bones using our on-site X-ray technology. For most minor fractures, we can splint and stabilize the injury to protect it while it heals. If the break is severe or requires surgery, we will stabilize the injury and refer you to an orthopedic specialist or the emergency room for further care.

Do you provide STD testing?

Yes, we offer confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). We understand this can be a sensitive topic, and our team is committed to providing discreet, professional, and non-judgmental care.

Do you offer flu shots and vaccinations?

Yes, we offer seasonal flu shots to help protect you and your family. We can also provide Tetanus boosters if you have suffered an injury that puts you at risk. For other specific immunizations, please call ahead to check availability.

Prescriptions & Pharmacy

Can you fill my prescription at the clinic?

We do not have a pharmacy on-site to fill prescriptions. However, our providers can electronically send any necessary prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice so they are ready for you to pick up.

Do you refill prescriptions for chronic conditions?

Urgent care is designed for short-term, acute medical needs. Generally, we do not refill maintenance medications for chronic conditions (like high blood pressure or diabetes) or provide long-term pain management. These requests are best handled by your primary care provider who knows your full medical history.

Preparing for Your Visit

What should I bring with me?

To ensure your check-in process is fast and smooth, please bring:

  • A valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
  • Your current insurance card.
  • A list of any medications you are currently taking.
  • A form of payment (credit card, debit card, or cash) for any co-pays.
Will you send my records to my doctor?

Yes. We believe in continuity of care. If requested, we can send a record of your visit, including diagnosis and treatments, to your primary care physician (PCP) or pediatrician to ensure your medical file is up to date.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans. We recommend bringing your insurance card and a valid ID with you to your visit. If you have specific questions about your coverage, please feel free to call our office or check with your insurance provider directly.

What if I don’t have insurance?

We believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. For patients without insurance, we offer affordable self-pay rates. Please ask our front desk staff for details on pricing when you arrive.
